Freedom From Fear
If you found yourself here, it's likely because you have a fear or phobia that's interfering with your life.
If you can make yourself upset by even thinking about the thing you're afraid of, you've come to the right place.
Phobias are typically referred to as an irrational fear or aversion to something. However, your mind doesn't think it's irrational--it likely experienced an initial moment in time that was traumatic, and it's trying to keep you safe.
The irrational part is when you can be sitting in your living room with sweaty palms, light-headedness, and a wave of panic because you thought of having to experience the thing you fear like getting on a plane, speaking in front of people, getting blood work etc.
That means your mind is responding to an autopilot mental picture rather than the actual thing.
You don't need exposure therapy or a "feel the fear and do it anyway" type approach.
There's actually a gentler and faster approach to being free from the phobic response.
Using techniques from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and hypnosis, we can help guide your mind to let go of the fear and respond with more neutrality.
So how rapid is rapid? One 90-minute session might be all you need.
This Is For You If:
-
This phobia has been negatively impacting your life. You may be afraid to fly to visit family, avoiding doctors' appointments because you don't want to get blood work, avoiding situations where you might encounter the thing you fear.
-
If you've experience symptoms of the phobia (shaking knees, anxiety, flushed skin, sweating, becoming clammy etc) while the actual event is not taking place. For example, if someone even brings up the topic, your body reacts.
-
You're ready to be free now, and you've been looking for an approach that doesn't involve management of symptoms or exposure therapy.

How exactly does this work?
If you can make yourself sick by thinking about the fear when it's not actually happening, you're responding to the mental picture of it rather than the thing itself. This is GOOD news! When we change the mental picture, the feelings of fear will go away. We will do this on the first, worst, and most recent experience. Then you will mentally rehearse having a positive or neutral experience until that feels more real than the old fear.

I'll actually be able to do the thing I was afraid of?
Yes! In fact, I encourage clients to plan their session around having to do the thing. For example, book the session before a blood panel, dentist appointment, or having to fly. This way you have evidence that it worked. It may feel unfamiliar the first time, and each time afterwards you'll notice it's even easier.
